Testimonials"I have ridden bikes now for over 12 years, but the ERS course still helped me improve my riding further. The level of detail provided in my rider assessment was astounding, and in some cases eye opening. Many thanks Mike on being such a patient teacher and brilliant assessor."Chris P - April 2009
"I had a great day out with Mike. His tuition and guidance, delivered in his calm, patient and professional way really helped make the day one to be recommended. His instructive suggestions have made a big difference not only to my understanding of motorcycling but also, more importantly, to my ability to ride more safely, efficiently and enjoyably. I could feel the improvements kicking in as we progressed through the day and am convinced what was said will stay with me. Thanks Mike!"
"Shortly after passing my bike test, my partner and I arranged a skills training day with Mike - this day proved invaluable. Being a female in a predominately male sport, Mike made me feel at complete ease; he is able to work with you at whatever level skills you have and at any pace. He was always very supportive and encouraging, with an emphasis on fun, which allowed me to progress and develop the basic skills I had when I had passed. Since this time, I have booked a number of days out with Mike - you can actually feel the difference in your riding skills and capabilities after a day out with him. I would recommend Mike and Peak Rider Training to anyone and at any ability."
"Having ridden bikes pretty much daily for 30 years, the time I spent with Mike was the first road based rider training I had ever done. By the end of the day my riding was much smoother and less aggressive. I found I was making better progress on unfamiliar roads than on roads which I thought I knew well. In all, a great day's biking. Mike is informative and entertaining, and what he is teaching you is to enjoy your riding more and that can never be a bad thing!"
"As a 'born-again biker' I turned up looking like George Formby on a Brough Superior. Mike was very reassuring in bringing me up to date on roadcraft, bike handling, and sensible kit. I've now managed to wobble through 2 more years of safe riding, which has saved a fortune in Ducati parts and Elastoplast. So, great job Mike. Thanks a million."
"I was, without doubt, a confident veteran and didn't really think there would be much on offer for someone like me who had ridden for years. How wrong can you be! Mikes ability to involve me in the thought processes required while riding, as well as his friendly style and willingness to debate issues that I did not necessarily agree with, made for a great training session. I became a far smoother and safer rider than I would ever have thought possible. His follow up and ride-outs, which I intend to do more of this year, are just icing on the cake."
"Having only had training way back in the early '80s, when the pinnacle of safety was the wearing of a donkey jacket, I felt it was time to understand how I could improve on three decades of bad habits. It didn't take Mike long to highlight a couple of aspects of my riding style that might not have been as good as I thought. The improvement in my road positioning, awareness of hazard, and control of my bike was stunning. Despite my reservations the time spent in training will definitely remain as memories of some of the best times sat in the saddle. Years of experience show through in Mike's calm, structured, and good humoured communication."
